Portland Brownfield Program
Welcome to the Portland Brownfield
Program (visit the original site here).
What do these places have in common?
All of these properties are brownfields that the Portland Brownfield Program has helped transform into vibrant, working space for the City of Portland. By providing technical and financial support to property owners, developers, and community members, the Brownfield Program assists with the recovery of neighborhood lands.
Portland has been working for more than a decade to build government, business, and community-supported processes that foster brownfield restoration and reuse. Public and private partnerships within Portland have cleaned up and renewed hundreds of acres of contaminated property and created thousands of jobs, while promoting economic development, greenspace protection, and human health.
Today the Portland Brownfield Program provides Environmental Site Assessments, cleanup funds, and technical assistance for properties throughout the city. If you are interested in learning more about Portland Brownfield Program services for your property or a property you are thinking of purchasing, please contact us.
I look forward to hearing from you.
