The Phoenix Awards were created in 1997 to honor the groups that develop significant brownfields sites across the country. They seek to recognize innovative yet practical remediation projects, which bring blighted, old commercial and industrial sites back to productive use.

Welcome to the Institute of Brownfield Professionals (IBP). The Institute is a not-for-profit organization designed to provide essential services to environmental professionals with expertise in brownfields revitalization, and to assist others with concerns in that area.

The Environmental Law Institute’s Brownfields Center provides essential information on brownfields cleanup and redevelopment with a focus on the concerns and needs of community groups across the country. The Center’s goal is to encourage and support effective citizen participation in the redevelopment of brownfields.
